90-minute sessions for Deep Rest
These sessions are designed to ease your struggle to slow down and find peace inside. When we’ve been in overdrive—rushing, pushing, and carrying stress for too long—rest can feel foreign, even elusive. Maybe a constant hum of stress and rushing has become your “normal.” It used to be my normal and my health suffered greatly as a result. I had to find another way.
Our culture celebrates productivity and achievement, which isn’t inherently bad. But without balancing productivity with rest, we pay with our well-being. If we push ourselves too hard or for too long, we eventually collapse in exhaustion. Without adequate rest, it becomes harder to concentrate, focus, concentrate or remember things. Without adequate rest, the body struggles, and symptoms like tension, headaches, poor digestion, lowered immunity, elevated blood pressure, insomnia, low energy or anxiety can arise. When our bodies don't regularly return to a state of rest and repair, we lose the ability to function at our best and enjoy life fully.
Prolonged stress can narrow our bandwidth. Slowing down may even feel uncomfortable, as our minds race with to-do lists and future concerns, making it hard to sleep, focus, or connect deeply with ourselves and others. The good news is, you can learn how to come to rest, even when you’re getting things done!
Rest isn’t a luxury—it’s essential.
Sanctuary Sessions are designed to remind your body, mind, and spirit what it means to rest deeply and how to keep a core of calm even when you’re busy.
Through a blend of passive and active relaxation, you’ll rediscover what it feels like to feel restored.
Over time, resting will become more natural, and you’ll have tools from our sessions to integrate into your daily life with ease.
By coming to a state of rest and repair more regularly, your body can regain it’s vitality and energy.
After discussing your needs, together, we will design sessions to combine passive and active relaxation practices to guide your nervous system to deep rest. Depending upon your needs/goals, sessions may include:
gentle bodywork/attuned touch
acupressure
vibrational sound therapy (tuning forks)
aromatherapy
foot, hand or facial massage
