FULL MOON EMBODIED

DANCE TEMPLE

CEREMONIAL, SOMATIC, EXPERIENTIAL, EXPLORATORY, EXPRESSIVE

This offering brings together many of my loves - intentional community, expressive arts, music, dancing and ceremony.

This counterpoint to the New Moon in the lunar cycle invites full expression, celebration, and letting go. I know of no better way to do this than in our primary, primal language of movement and sound.

Each ceremony opens with a setting of the container, followed by a guided somatic practice to invite dropping out of our minds and into movement and embodied experience. This flows into a free movement, ecstatic, expressive journey. Finally, we rest in integration and join in circle for a closing.

The musical genre of each month varies. In choosing the music, I let my mood be inspired by the archetype of the zodiac where the full moon and sun reside each month (for example, fiery and adventurous Sagittarius has a very different vibe from earthy and practical Virgo).

You’re invited to explore your inner world through each archetype as you invite the energy of the moon move through your body, flow through your movements and guide your expression.

Just be you.

Move your body, your way. You are welcome to

take up space,

release emotions,

practice radical self-acceptance

and love

let go of “doing it right” and flow with what feels right, interesting, new, playful, authentic, connected, raw and real

listen to your body, soul, inner guide, instinct and intuition

You don’t have to be a dancer, you just have to have a body, an open heart and curious mind.

*** IMPORTANT ***

essential community agreements

This temple is intended as a trauma-informed ceremony for personal growth, self-expression, community connection and wellness. It can feel vulnerable to express ourselves both verbally and in movement, shares and observations of others are to be kept confidential.

You are welcome to share your own experience with others but not the identities, stories or observations of other participants.

For your safety and consideration of other participants, this is a sober event. Do not attend if you consume drugs or alcohol prior. As a solo facilitator, I am unable to attend to those who may need the level of support and attention required for the safety of those in altered states of consciousness and/or alertness.

While I welcome feedback about my facilitation, positive or negative, I ask that you reserve commentary for after the event.

Wendy’s offerings are a delight. The sessions reinvigorate me and enable me to let go of whatever isn’t serving me. Plus, they are a lot of fun!
